Celebration is a chance seedling of unknown parentage, discovered at Humpty Doo in 1994 by the Department of Primary Industry and Fisheries’ Senior Horticulturist Dr Vinod Kulkarni.

Napolitano   The American Association of Exporters and Importers will have Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano as the keynote speaker for its annual conference and expo in New York on June 5-7.

   AAEI said the Obama administration will send top agency officials to the event to promote the National Export Initiative. Speakers will include Eric Hirschhorn, undersecretary of the Commerce Department Bureau of Industry and Security, and Brian Nilsson, chairman of the White House Export Control Reform Task Force, both of whom will discuss the administration’s progress with export control reform.

   U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke is leading a bipartisan congressional delegation in South Korea this week to show the benefits of the pending U.S.-South Korea free trade agreement for American companies.

   “For the United States, implementation of the agreement will help create a level playing field for U.S. businesses and workers, and help increase exports,” Locke explained in a luncheon speech to the American Chamber of Commerce, on Thursday.
