EUROPEAN MARKET RECEIVES YEAR END EXPLOSION OF BRAZIL MANGOES ...

The Port of Rotterdam has been the primary recipient of Brazil's explosive November exports to Europe.

Brazil has concentrated it's focus of mango exports on the European market.


This is the heaviest month volume-wise to Europe since the 2008 season.


Week 44 -47 totals for this year (2011) are 695 containers compared with 592 the past prior two years (2010 & 2009).


Historically, shipping volume out of Brazil will die down through December and into the new year until week 15.


Peru is running about two weeks late this year according to Grower/Exporter association APEM.


So far this season, Peru has exported 17 containers for the same time fram (week 44-47).


It is estimated that an aditional 14 containers was shipped from Peru last week (48) bringing total exports to Europe so far this season up to 31 containers.
