IMO sources in Peru are reporting that discussions between Peru's largest vetically integrated mango export operations are well underway.

Camposol, Peru's largest agricultural conglomerate could virtuallt dominate the mango market from Peru with the acquisition of Sunshine exports.

The acquisition of Sunshine Export's customer base as well as complimentary production and processing facilities would put Camposol in the "Driver's seat" of the Peruvian mango deal.

Camposol currently owns a controlling interest in EMPAFRUT and has acquired storage facility rights from six additional export operations to store mango for their on going IQF operations.

Camposol is still harvesting over 12,000 (20kg) fieldcrates per day from thier San Lorenzo Valley orchards.

So far this season, the two companies represent over 20% of all exports from Peru.

USA takes a stand on GMO ....

EXCITING NEWS!! A record-breaking 1 MILLION Americans signed the Just Label It petition demanding mandatory labeling of GMOs.

This is the most comments the FDA has EVER received on a food petition & is such a testament to the power of our collective voices to demand our right to know what’s in our food.

Way to go, everyone! :) ~Jessica
