Dole Food Breakup Seen Bearing Fruit With 58% Return ...

Dole Food Co. (DOLE), which has evolved from a Hawaiian pineapple purveyor into the world’s largest producer of fresh fruit and vegetables, would now stand to reap almost 60 percent for shareholders by splitting itself up.

The Westlake Village, California-based company last week said it was considering options including a breakup after its shares dropped by a third in the past year, the second-worst performance among North American food makers with market values larger than $500 million. Dole is now trading at a lower valuation relative to sales than 97 percent of the industry, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

Dole’s shares have slumped as earnings swings at the company’s produce operations overshadowed higher profit margins from packaged foods such as fruit cups and popsicles. The fresh fruit, vegetable and packaged foods businesses could be worth a combined $15 a share in a breakup, 58 percent more than yesterday…

Ambas entidades suscribirán un pacto con ese objetivo en el marco del roadshow “Perú, un país de oportunidades”.

La visita de Milton von Hesse a Japón servirá de marco para la firma del acuerdo.

Lima (Andina).- La Agencia de Promoción de la Inversión Privada (ProInversión) y el Bank of Tokyo–Mitsubishi firmarán un acuerdo de cooperación para la promoción de las inversiones entre empresas peruanas y japonesas, informó ProInversión.

La suscripción del acuerdo será en el marco de la visita que el director ejecutivo de ProInversión, Milton von Hesse, realiza a Japón integrando la delegación oficial peruana que lidera el presidente de la República, Ollanta Humala.

ProInversión informó que Von Hesse expondrá en el roadshow “Perú, un país de oportunidades”, las oportunidades de inversión que ofrece el país en sectores diversos como agroindustria, minería, energía, hidrocarburos, transporte y telecomunicaciones.

The new venue for the IMO 4th Global Mango Conference (GMC) is going to be in west Palm beach on June 29th as promised.

Unfortunately, as of this date only two people/organizations have actually paid.

I have many, many promises From potential attendees but to date no one has "put their money where their mouth is".

Since the moment I announced the IMO/GMC, everyone has been asking for a Hand-out from the IMO to sponsor them.

While historically, the IMO has covered such items such as Airfare, Lodging and local costs for Keynote speakers, this year (perhaps a sign of just how bad-off the mango industry is) everyone has been asking for a handout.
