ASK conspiracy theorists who they think really runs the world, and they will probably point to global banks, such as Citigroup, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase. 

Oil giants such as Exxon Mobil and Shell may also earn a mention. 

Or perhaps they would focus on the consumer-goods firms that hold billions in their thrall: Apple, McDonald’s or Nestlé.

One firm unlikely to feature on their list is BlackRock, an investment manager whose name rings few bells outside financial circles. Yet it is the single biggest shareholder in all the companies listed above.

El abogado y político Nelson Mandela murió a la edad de 95 años, fue conocido en su país, Sudáfrica, como Madiba, un título honorífico otorgado por los ancianos del clan de Mandela; también lo llamaron Tata; fue el primer presidente de la República de Sudáfrica (1994-1999) elegido por la vía democrática mediante sufragio universal. 

Wikipedia nos informa que “Nelson Mandela nació el 18 de julio de 1918 en Mvezo, Unión de Sudáfrica, un poblado de 300 habitantes cerca de Umtata en el Transkei. Pertenecía al clan Madiba de la etnia xhosa, fue uno de los 13 hijos, que tuvo su padre Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa y era su vez era bisnieto de rey (Ngubengcuka, que falleció en el año 1832); su madre era Nonqaphi Nosekeni Fanny tercera de las esposas de Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa.”
