Heinz Dieterich pronostica el fin de Maduro y el de los hermanos Castro

El pasado octubre de 2013 el periódico La Verdad publicó unas declaraciones del escritor alemán, Heinz Dieterich, un intelectual de izquierda, autor del término “Socialismo del Siglo XXI” y profesor de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma (UNAM) de México.





 Dieterich es un gran conocedor de la situación en Venezuela, no solo porque fue amigo personal del finado, sino porque conoce a fondo cómo funciona el gobierno venezolano, y conoce también a la mayoría de los altos funcionarios que incluyen al presidente de la Asamblea Nacional y al presidente cuestionado de esa nación







Entre las cosas que dijo en ese momento destacamos lo siguiente: “Si el gobierno de Maduro/Cabello no toma medidas inteligentes y drásticas de manera inmediata en lo económico y político, tiene los meses contados. Bajo esa premisa consideramos que no llegará más allá de marzo/abril 2014. Los escenarios de la eventual caída son evidentes: movilizaciones callejeras…

AFRICA : Zimbabwe bans fresh fruit, vegetable imports

(Reuters) - Zimbabwe has banned imports of fresh fruit and vegetables with immediate effect, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday, arguing that increased local production will meet domestic demand.






The ban will mostly impact supplies of tomatoes, potatoes, mangoes, grapes and apples from neighbouring South Africa, the ministry said in a statement, without giving figures on how much the fruit and vegetable import market is worth.






Zimbabwe's farming output, including from its staple maize crop, has slumped by over 60 percent since 2000, following seizures of white-owned farms by President Robert Mugabe's controversial government.





Mugabe said seizing the farms for redistribution to local blacks was to correct colonial injustices.





Critics say Mugabe -- in power since independence from Britain in 1980 -- turned one of Africa's most promising economies and a regional bread basket to a net importer of food.
