Mexico: Construction of first agro-industrial park for Mangoes in Soconusco

The project will make it possible to export to Europe and Asia

With the start of construction of the first agro-industrial park in Puerto Chiapas, producers in the Soconusco region say this will provide them with great opportunities to add value to their products, create more jobs, start the export of the goods and look forward to a sustainable progress. 

The president of the association of growers of Soconusco and the regulatory board of Ataulfo mangoes, Alfredo Cerdio Sánchez, said they have great prospects regarding this new infrastructure, which has started being constructed, because it will help growers in the region to continue cultivating, and in some cases, to reactivate the activity in places where it had been abandoned.
