The National Mango Board has added to its retail staff.

Tim Beerup joins three others in the Orlando-based board’s retail group, according to a news release.

Beerup will work with retailers in the central U.S. His territory covers Texas through the Midwest. Beerup has a strong background in retail and wholesale produce, according to the release.

The other members of the board’s retail staff include Cece Krumrine (northeast), Katie Manetti (west) and Wendy McManus (southeast).

The board’s retail staff works the group’s retail partners, ranging from major chains to mid-sized chains and small ethnic retailers.

Staff members set up promotions with retailers, help train store level and warehouse associates on mango handling and merchandising practices, provide point-of-sale materials, deliver consumer and industry research data and highlight opportunities that retailers might be missing.
