Earl’s Organic Produce will distribute Crespo organic mangoes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
San Francisco-based Earl’s will be the exclusive regional distributor of Mexican-grown Crespo mangoes shipped by Nogales, Ariz.-based importer R.C.F. produce, according to a news release.
Christie Biddle, Earl’s fruit buyer, cited the continued growth of mangoes as a reason for Earl’s joining forces with R.C.F.
“We are very excited about our ongoing partnership with Crespo Organic Mangoes, enabling us to offer high quality, flavor-filled fruit at attractive pricing. With the support of their marketing and educational efforts, it’s looking to be a fantastic season.”
R.C.F. and Earl’s will aggressively promote mangoes this summer through R.C.F.’s Mango Mania promotion, which will include in-store and social media educational efforts, tastings, cutting demos and mango-themed cooking classes.
In late spring R.C.F. expects mango shipments from Mexico’s Sinaloa region to increase to 15% above normal levels.
