Mango Market News


Mango volume shipped on week ending 4/30/16 was approximately 2,970,483 boxes.



During the same week last year, volume shipped was approximately 3,628,215 boxes.



Mexico Crop Information


The Mexican season began in January and will run until October with a projection of approximately 62.4 million boxes.



Mexico's main varities are Tommy Atkins (38%), Ataulfo (26%), Kent (20%), Haden (7%), Keitt (8%) and other (1%).



Please note:Fruit sizes for April and May will be smaller than previous years.



Volume shipped on week ending 4/30/16

Volume shipped from Mexico was approximately 2,493,291 boxes for a total of16,531,745 boxes for the season.
During the same week last year, volume shipped from Mexico was approximately 2,820,743 boxes for a total of 22,444,680 boxes.







Nicaragua Crop Information

The Nicaraguan season began in February and ended in April with approximately 700,000 boxes.



Nicaragua's main varieties are Tommy Atkins (89%), Keitt (8%), and Ataulfo (3%).



Congratulations to Nicaragua for a successful season ending on April 23, 2016 with a total volume of 748,581 boxes.

Guatemala Crop Information

The Guatemala season began in February and will run until May with a projection of approximately 2.6 million (4kg.) cartons. 



Guatemala's main varieties are Tommy Atkins (94%), Ataulfo (4%), and Kent (1%).

Volume shipped from Guatemala was approximately 331,802 boxes for a total of 2,059,445 boxes for the season.



During the same week last year, volume shipped from Guatemala was approximately 549,468 boxes for a total of 3,879,314 boxes.





Haiti Crop Information


The Haitian season began in April and will run until September with a projection of approximately 2.2 million boxes.



Haiti's main variety is Madame Francis (100%)

Volume shipped from Haiti was approximately 145,390 boxes for a total of 512,472 boxes for the season.


During the same week last year, volume shipped from Haiti was approximately 238,661 boxes for a total of 446,121 boxes.
